Surakarta – The Faculty of Economics at Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is expanding its international collaboration by partnering with Parallaxnet, a U.S.-based technology company involved in education and providing technology-based courses in Indonesia. This partnership was officially signed on July 23, 2024, at Syariah Hotel Solo during the International Conference on Islamic Economic Studies (ICIES), hosted by FEBI UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta from July 23 to 25, 2024.
The agreement aims to enhance the competencies of both lecturers and students at the Faculty of Economics, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, through various programs offered by Parallaxnet. This collaboration includes the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, human resource development, and other programs that support the responsibilities of both parties.
Dr. Indah Yuliana, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, stated that this collaboration is designed to improve the quality of education at the Faculty of Economics, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, and provide opportunities for students to participate in courses organized by Parallaxnet and earn international certificates. These certificates will enhance students’ portfolios and provide added value for their future careers, she noted.
This partnership also strengthens the Faculty’s position in delivering high-quality education and broadening students’ global perspectives. Based on mutual trust, goodwill, and adherence to legal regulations, both parties have agreed to establish and sign this collaboration.
The scope of this partnership covers the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, human resource development, and other cooperation supporting the respective roles and functions of both parties, in line with applicable regulations.
Any costs arising from the implementation of this collaboration will be borne by both parties according to their respective duties, authorities, and responsibilities. The partnership is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and any disputes that may arise will be resolved through mutual deliberation and consensus. Through this collaboration, FE UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and Parallaxnet are committed to supporting and advancing education in Indonesia, while making a positive contribution to the development of high-quality human resources.
